I pulled out the tripod, ordered a shutter release cable and decided to try out the whole self-portrait thing. It was much more fun than I expected actually. I highly recommend trying it. You get interesting crops because you don't really know where you're supposed to stand to fit in the frame, no one is watching you or wondering what the heck you're doing or directing you and no one sees the shots that end up looking absolutely ridiculous. And I'm not so upset about chopping off my fingers or arm because I couldn't see what I was doing anyway. It's a good combination of planning and accidents.
