Hoods and boots

Katherine didn't want to take her "hood" off after her bath the other day so she wore it around for the evening.  And she's still going through a taking off her clothes phase (though not neglecting her footwear).

Maternity self-portraits

I pulled out the tripod, ordered a shutter release cable and decided to try out the whole self-portrait thing.  It was much more fun than I expected actually.  I highly recommend trying it.  You get interesting crops because you don't really know where you're supposed to stand to fit in the frame, no one is watching you or wondering what the heck you're doing or directing you and no one sees the shots that end up looking absolutely ridiculous.  And I'm not so upset about chopping off my fingers or arm because I couldn't see what I was doing anyway.  It's a good combination of planning and accidents.  Here are a few of me at 35 weeks pregnant...

I really wanted to get some with Katherine but it just wasn't happening once she <immediately> discovered the shutter release cord.  This is her first self-portrait:

Bunny ears and Mimi and Guy

Katherine and I were waiting by the window for Mimi and Guy's arrival, I asked Katherine to sit with her back against the couch and look at me and she actually did!  It was the most bizarre thing.  She stayed there for a good 20 seconds too!  She was telling me about riding the train at the mall...

And what you can't see in the first pic is the result of Daddy fixing her hair...

Then she sat with her back to the window.  She definitely didn't get those lashes from me!

My parents brought some of my old toys and Katherine LOVES this pull dog, he's been on a couple of walks now and he even visited the mall this morning.

Fish and rainbows

We ventured out to the Baltimore Aquarium last weekend along with Alex's sister, Sophia, who was visiting from Atlanta and Alex's family and his cousins.  Katherine loved the sharks and dolphins and most of all the waterfall.  She still talks about the waterfall every day.  You just never know! 

It was crowded around these small tanks and super tough to get any photos, especially with my large belly getting in the way.

Katherine had fun with her cousins of course.

With her Aunt Sophia (she misses her sooo much and insists on looking at pictures of 'Gomo' (Korean for Aunt on brother's side, right?) and sorry if I spelled it wrong!) every day.

Natural History Museum!

We took Katherine to the Natural History Museum last weekend and she just loved it!  She still is talking about the elephant and dinosaurs and funny fish (I guess they were funny because they were skeletons, not certain though, she thinks most things are funny these days). 

Mimi visits

Katherine looooves when Mimi visits her.  Mimi brought her DS (yes, she's in touch with today's youngest generation) and Katherine loves watching the 'funny guy' who dances on the screen.
