And a couple more

We had snow yesterday and were inside most of the day and today we stayed inside for the morning so out of boredom I experimented a little with some shots.  I decided to turn up the heat and put a summer dress on K. because it's one that my mom smocked for my sister when she was little and I really wanted Katherine to get a chance to wear it.  She LOVED it and wouldn't take it off.  That was OK until lunch when I didn't want her to get it dirty. She was upset for a couple of hours really, until we were at the library and she found a friend.  Later, before her nap, she did remind me that I made her take the dress off.  Poor thing.

She likes to pretend to take naps on the rug...

Happy Birthday, Part II

It's official, Katherine is 2!

I don't see how it's possible that she's 2 already (well tomorrow)!  We had a very small celebration yesterday and Katherine had a fantastic time and even knew to blow on her candles somehow.  Here are a few snapshots!  I'm posting lots of pics for Katherine's aunts Sophia and Lauren who weren't able to make it up from the South.

I'm verrrry proud of this cake that I made, I've never had one turn out so symmetrical. And it was my first time piping!
